Crispy Breaded Tofu in Air Fryer

1 block of pressed extra firm tofu
1/3 cup panko bread crumbs ( I use 365 Brand)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1-2 tsp Korean spice (+/-) per taste (I used this one)
Salt per taste
1/4 cup corn starch
2-3 tbsp of water for corn starch
avocado oil spray (3-4 sprays, optional but recommended for best results)
- Dipping Sauce
Use Gochujang sauce or any other sauce of your choice or use My Sriracha Mayo
Directions
- Cut tofu about 1 inch in thickness and in any shape you like, keep aside. Mix corn starch with water and keep aside. Make sure corn starch mixture is not too runny, it has to be slightly on the thicker side for the best results.
- In another bowl, add bread crumbs, spices, mix and keep aside. Toss tofu slices one by one in corn starch, then in bread crumbs and lay on your air fryer or baking sheet. Once all pieces are covered, lightly spray with avocado oil (about 3-4 sprays) and air fry or Bake at 400 F for about 18 minutes. Make sure to toss half way through.
- Transfer to a plate and Enjoy with any dipping sauce you like! or Use in your buddha bowls.

Notes
- If using for buddha bowls, you can re-heat in the air fryer for about 2-3 minutes.
