Healthy Date Snickers BarsCourse: Dessert
8 Medjool dates (+/- per your need)
Nut butter of your choice (I highly recommend Nut & Seed butter from Costco)
Dark vegan chocolate of your choice (I used Lindt 70% dark chocolate)
Truffle or sea salt (highly recommend truffle salt)
- Optional Toppings:
Roasted pecans or roasted peanuts to add inside dates for extra crunch
Crushed candy cane
- Remove pits from the dates. Add a tsp of nut butter inside each date. For extra crunch you may add roasted peanuts or pecans as well. In a bowl toss your favorite chocolate and melt in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Dip each date one by one until its covered in chocolate. Line a small baking tray with parchment paper and place dates on this tray. Stick tray in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle some truffle salt on top or crushed candy canes and enjoy!
- These are healthy alternative snickers bars for holidays. Please keep in mind they’re still high in calories if you’re watching your weight, so be mindful of how much you consume!
