4 cups cooked brown or green lentils
1/2 -2/3 cup oat flour (only increase flour quantity if lentils are wet & mushy)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder (+/- per tolerance)
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1/4 cup chopped cilantro (Or omit if don’t like cilantro)
1/4 cup chopped parsley
salt per taste
Directions
- If using canned lentils, skip to step 2. If using dry green or brown lentils, pressure cook in instant pot for 5 minutes with 3 cups of water, some garlic powder and salt per taste. Release pressure and keep aside to cool. Or cook on the stove top till lentils are soft.
- In a big bowl, toss all your ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use your hands to form patties. Lightly brush air fryer with neutral oil to prevent patties from sticking. Air fry at 400 F for 20 minutes, make sure to flip half way through. If you don’t have air fryer, then bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Make sure to line your baking tray with a non stick silicone matt or parchment paper.
- Once ready, either enjoy them fresh with Vegan Queso sauce, and some pickled red onion on top as a snack or store in the fridge once cooled to use throughout the week. Check my YouTube video below to see how I use them in meal prep containers for the week.

Notes
- Please note: if you’re storing in the fridge, lentil patties will not be crispy. But you can re-heat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to allow them to crisp up again.
