If you’re looking for a quick breakfast idea for those busy mornings, try this creamy PB and banana smoothie. This smoothie is packed with protein without having to add additional protein. It’s also ultra creamy and satisfying. Feel free to add side bowl of steamed veggies of your choice to make this breakfast more filling while keeping calories low.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Frozen banana

  • 1/3 cup thick rolled oats (I used gluten free)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • *5 tbsp defatted Peanut butter powder (or use natural peanut butter 1-2 tbs, see notes)

  • 1 tsp maple syrup (+/- or use Stevia drops to further decrease calories)

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened plant milk of your choice (I used soy)

Directions

  • Toss all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend till smooth. Sprinkle more cinnamon on top and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to serve it with a bowl of veggies on the side to make it a more filling breakfast.
  • *I’ve used defatted peanut butter to make this smoothie low in calories and fat. If you’re not trying to lose weight, use natural peanut butter.
