Ingredients

  • 1 block of extra firm organic tofu

  • 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice blend

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (or adjust per your preference)

  • salt per your taste

  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions as garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Remove water from tofu, pat dry with kitchen towel, put heavy pot on top for about 5-10 minutes or use tofu press.
  • Once tofu is pressed, cut tofu in cubes, toss in a bowl and season it with all the spices. Cover the lid and shake gently to combine.
  • Line your air fryer with parchment paper, and toss it in. Cook for 20 minutes at 400 °F. Remember to flip half way through. Or Bake in the oven at 400 F and make sure to flip half way through.
  • Add fresh green onions on top and drizzle it with some siracha and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to add this tofu to your veggie stir fry dishes, buddha bowls, salads or enjoy by itself.
