Creamy Mushroom Gravy

3 heaping cups diced cremini mushrooms
4 large diced portabella mushrooms
1 medium size onion
1/2 tsp chili flakes (or adjust per your taste)
2 tsp better than bouillon (vegetable)
*1 tsp poultry seasoning
1.5 tbsp Tamari or low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp corn starch
1.5 cups hot water
Salt per your taste
1 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
- Clean and chop your mushrooms. Dice your onion and water sauté till onions are soft. Once onions are soft, add add garlic, mushrooms, chili flakes, poultry seasoning and cook till mushrooms soften.
- Add hot water in a cup, mix in corn starch, better than bullion and pour it over mushrooms. Add your tamari or coconut aminos. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on low/medium heat till gravy thickens.
- Garnish it with green onions or parsley, serve it over mashed potatoes or brown rice and enjoy!
Notes
- *Don’t worry about poultry seasoning – It has all vegan ingredients.
